After the air containing garbage and water mist enters the dustbin, there are always some dust, sand particles and water that cannot be completely separated from the air and directly enter the fan, forming a multi-phase flow in the fan. The movement of air flow from the inlet to the outlet of the fan is turned 90 degrees. Under the action of air entrainment and its own inertia, solid particles inevitably impact the inner surface of the centrifugal impeller and volute with a non-zero angle of attack, and even impact many times, causing the fan impeller and volute wear.

The wear of the impeller directly affects the performance and life of the fan. Its dynamic balance is destroyed and the vibration is intensified, which increases the noise of the sweeper fan during operation, and reduces the comfort of the driver and the life of the vehicle. In order to slow down the wear of the fan impeller, the conventional method is to surfacing or spraying wear-resistant materials at the corresponding wear-prone parts, using wear-resistant steel, quenching or carburizing the surface of the material, reasonably selecting the air inlet, avoiding the use of hollow blades, adding guide vanes, cutting the blade outlet into serrations and other measures.

Combined with the actual use experience of the road sweeper fan, the wear parts of the centrifugal impeller of the road sweeper fan are mainly concentrated in the 3 area, that is, the side area of the blade inlet near the rear plate, the area of the blade working face near the rear plate, the outlet part of the blade working face and the surface of the rear plate; the wear of the volute is mainly concentrated on the rear side of the impeller outlet corresponding to the volute surface.
